The Mystery Of Iniquity: Secrets Of Sins

The Mystery Of Iniquity "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth let, until he be taken out of the way" ( 2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV) "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." (1 John 5:18 KJV). Whenever sin is mentioned in church or anywhere, the things people think are fornication, adultery, lying, stealing, murder, but these are only the manifestations of sin itself, in fact, the bible aptly calls most of them the works of the flesh because they are the physical manifestations of the spirit and seed of sin itself.  The first sin mankind committed on earth was disobedience and rebellion (Genesis 3). "Don't do it, if you do it, you will be die." And they did it anyway and lost their place in creation. They also sinned because they were made to or tricked into doing it by the evil one.  Sin is departing from the "old" o

The Power Of Discernment

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: (1 Corinthians 12:10) And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. (Acts 16:16-18) But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. And he said unto him, *Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?* Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive

Recover Your Star

"Saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him" Matthew 1:2 (KJV). These wise men saw Jesus' star and did come to worship him because they knew his star is an extraordinary star - it is the star of the son of God. What do we need to learn from this? It is each one of us, each individual has a unique and peculiar star that separates us and distinguishes us from the crowd. Losing access to your star while on earth means you'll be among the crowd, among ordinary or common people, you'll leave the rest of your life like normal people do, nothing different or peculiar about you. We normally refers to famous entertainers, musicians and footballers as STARS, because they're like stars. They're so high up, so popular that you can't reach them like you would do normal people. They are not normal people, they are above normal people. Without your star, you'll be a normal 'people'

The Curse Of The Helpless

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.” (Psalm 12:5) "And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth." (Genesis 4:8-12) If there is a particular curse you want to avoid in this life by all means, it is the CURSE OF THE HELPLESS. It is a curse with long-term, generational and disastrous effects. What is the

The Gifts Of The Spirit

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”   — John 16:7 (KJV) “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”   — Luke 24:49 (KJV) "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit."    -Joel 2: 28-29(KJV) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by th

Spiritual Protection and Spiritual Security

I know many of us were taught to memorize some Psalms when growing up, most especially Psalms 91, 27, etc. We call them Psalms of protection. I have heard the general overseer of a megachurch in Lagos saying "Don't leave home and never go to bed without first reading psalm 91". But now we know better. Reading Psalms does not really guarantee our protection from all the evil and wickedness going on in the world. “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”   — 1 John 5:18 (KJV) The verse above says if you don't want the wicked to touch you, you should keep yourself and sin not.  “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”   — Psalms 34:7 (KJV) This next verse says, if you fear the Lord, his angels will protect and deliver you. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”   — James 4:7 (KJV) Anothe

Overcoming Wickedness

"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart." (Genesis 6:5-6) “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”   — 1 John 5:19 (KJV) The International Bible Encyclopedia defines *wickedness* as: "The state of being wicked; a mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honor, virtue; evil in thought and life; depravity; sinfulness; criminality." The bible further states that - "Wickedness proceeds from the wicked" (1 Samuel 24:13). It means wickedness is done by the wicked. If any type of wickedness is linked to you, you are said to be wicked. What does the wicked do? The wicked hates progress or joy or happiness of their fellow men. The wicked is happy when bad things happen to their fellow humans. The wicked always orchestrates vi
